Being my first blog entery, let me introduce myself. My name is Garnet, I have lived and been employed as a paramedic in the city of Vancouver for many years. I am married to a beautiful wife and blessed with two young children.

My passion for woodworking continues to grow and evolve to this day. I spent many of my school and college years in the house construction industry from the foundation of a house up to finnish carpentry.

Over the years I have fine tuned my hobbies somewhat. I enjoy the smaller challanges with jewelry boxes, small furniture and working with inlays and exotic woods not common to the area. My latest and greatest passion has been turning wooden pens on the mini lathe!

This hobby, passion or call it whatever you like....is like an open book. Every day opens a new page... I just can't see reaching that last page of the best book I have ever picked up. So, onwards and upwards!
